All Movement Store

After relocating with her family from Omaha last year, Hannah Dusso quickly fell in love with Wausau, particularly its vibrant dance and fitness community. Now, nearly a year into her Wausau residency, Dusso is giving back to that community by opening All Movement Store, an activewear clothing shop that caters to the needs of dancers, yoga enthusiasts and just about anyone who likes to get out and move.

“I grew up dancing my whole life,” Dusso said.

Out of high school, Dusso joined a performing arts company in California, kickstarting her career as a dance teacher and choreographer.

“It gave me the opportunity to travel around the world and dance and teach kids,” she said.

Dusso continued her career as a dance teacher and choreographer in Seattle, before moving back home to Nebraska and giving birth to two kids. Since dance instruction is usually an after-school, evening-based job, Dusso stepped away from that world to focus on spending more time with her young family. When she returned to work, she started a new career in retail management.

When the Dussos moved to Wausau in 2025, Hannah was really impressed with the dance, yoga and fitness offerings. What Wausau held, Dusso quickly realized, was the opportunity to combine her retail experience with her passion for dance and an active lifestyle.

“I started doing some market research and I realized how dense the dance, yoga and general fitness population is in Wausau — and the lack of support that they have. The closest dance retailer is in Ashwaubenon, which is 78 miles away,” she said. “In the greater Wausau area, if you do a simple Google search, you’re going to get probably 17 different dance studios, countless yoga studios and fitness gyms, and within that community, really the only [locally owned] physical retailer that supplies the area is Shepherd and Schaller, and they have an amazing selection. There really isn’t something that’s for the yoga and the dance community as a whole, though.”

Dusso said while some of the dance studios provide basics leotards and shoes, it is difficult for studios to keep up with the demands of growing kids. With these needs in mind, Dusso developed a business plan, and when Magnolia Soap moved from downtown Wausau to Rib Mountain, the perfect retail space opened up.

The front of the sunlit store features mens and womens fitness clothing, including yoga pants, sweats and moisture-wicking shirts. The back of the store features dance items for kids of all ages, including tap and ballet shoes, leotards and more. While online shopping has brought endless variety to buyers’ doorsteps, Dusso firmly believes nothing compares to an in-person experience, especially for activewear.

“You get to try it on, you get to touch the material, you get to see if you like how it feels, how it fits, and then adjust from there without having to deal with the hassle of returns and exchanges and shipping,” Dusso said. “The second thing is that [shopping in person] supports small businesses. Wausau is an amazing place, coming from a big city like Omaha. I think Wausau does a fantastic job supporting the community.”

Dusso named her store All Movement because it supports individuals of all shapes and sizes who have an interest in an active lifestyle, whether it’s dance, yoga, running, team sports, weightlifting or anything else. Above all else, she hopes All Movement’s products help empower her clients to reach their goals.

“I hope they feel inspired and good,” she said. “When you put on an outfit that you love and you feel confident in, you just carry yourself differently. And everybody who either is working out or is dancing is aspiring to become a better version of themselves, so I hope they feel inspired and confident so they can achieve what that next goal is.”

All Movement Store is located at 320 N 3rd Street, Wausau and is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit allmovementstore.com.
