Wisconsin Lottery Winner Wagon returns to Wausau

Posted

Lottery winners will have a chance to claim prizes in person, up to $200,000, next month as the Wisconsin Lottery brings the Winner Wagon back to Wausau on Wednesday, Sept. 2. The Wisconsin Lottery Winner Wagon will be at the Hy-Vee parking lot for a mobile validations event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Introduced last year, the Winner Wagon travels throughout the state, hosting different events to allow players to claim their lottery prizes ($600 or more) in person without having to travel to Madison or Milwaukee. Players can claim lottery prizes up to $200,000. All prize payments will be made via check only. Winner checks can be cashed at any US Bank location or the player’s preferred cashing method.

A fairly new vehicle for the Wisconsin Lottery, the Winner Wagon made its first-ever appearance in Wausau last August. Since then, the wagon has helped players claim prizes in Appleton, Eau Claire and La Crosse.

The Wisconsin Lottery gives back 93 percent of its revenue to winners, retailers and Wisconsin homeowners. Since 1988, the Wisconsin Lottery has generated more than $6.4 billion in funding for property tax credits to eligible Wisconsin homeowners.
