Catch a killer stage play, spot some wildflowers on a hike up Rib Mountain or play vintage video games! Here are six fun things to do around Wausau this week:
May 7-10 | Sentry Theater, Stevens Point
Central Wisconsin Area Community Theater presents a classic Agatha Christie tale of concealed identities, desperation, mixed motives and murder! In the quiet, little village of Chipping Cleghorn, an announcement in the local newspaper causes a stir among the residents. There is to be a murder in the home of Miss Blacklock that evening! Eventually, Inspector Craddock arrives and a murder investigation begins. Somewhat to his frustration, he is joined by amateur sleuth Miss Marple, who is always one step ahead. Come see if you can solve the murder yourself! Tickets are $17 adults, $12 seniors/kids, $8 veterans. Shows start at 7 p.m. except for Sunday, which is 2 p.m. cwact.org
Friday, May 8 | Woodson History Center, Wausau
Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, start. Sound familiar? The Marathon County Historical Society invites gamers to a special event with the Wisconsin Computer Club. Vintage Video Game Night is a chance to revisit the video games of your childhood or discover a vintage favorite for the first time. Guests can enjoy a variety of retro video games, along with a collection of vintage board and card games. With many games, past and present, available to play, there is something for every group and every generation. Whether you are stopping in for a round of classic video games, a competitive board game, or a lively battle of Hungry Hungry Hippos, Vintage Game Night is a fun and relaxed way to spend the evening. Free. 5:30-8:30 p.m. marathoncountyhistory.org
